Oleksandr Yaroslavskyy

General investor and coordinator of Kharkiv`s preparation to Euro-2012, DCH group owner and president, FC Metalist president,
Has a Doctor of Science degree

Included in the top-15 of Ukrainian edition of Forbes (2011) and Kyiv Post (2010). The founder and owner of one of the oldest financial-industrial groups in the country - until 2007 - "UkrSib" from 2007 - DCH. The group includes companies in such sectors as finance, construction and transport.
Since 2005, Oleksandr Yaroslavskyy is the president of FC Metalist. Under his guidance the club established a record of Ukraine, 5 years in a row having won bronze medals in the national championship. During this period, FC Metalist participated in the UEFA Cup (since 2010 - the Europa League).
Oleksandr Yaroslavskyy focuses on social investment in Kharkiv's preparation for Euro 2012. Even before the decision to host Euro 2012 in Ukraine and Poland, he started a modernization program for the sports infrastructure of Kharkiv - the reconstruction of Metalist stadium and other facilities.
The total amount of Oleksandr Yaroslavskyy`s social investment in Kharkiv preparation for Euro-2012 to date has exceeded $ 265 million. Currently in the DCH group Complex Program of Kharkiv's preparation for Euro-2012 there were fully or partially implemented projects such as:

  • Reconstruction of Metalist stadium, including the repair of the adjacent roads (public-private partnership: 30% Oleksandr Yaroslavskyy, 70% public funding)
  • Reconstruction of international airport "Kharkiv", including construction and renovation of 3 airport terminals and other facilities (public-private partnership on a parity basis)
  • Reconstruction of Dynamo stadium, which will be used as Euro 2012 transit base (100% Oleksandr Yaroslavskyy`s investment)
  • Construction of Children's Football Academy - UEFA Volunteer Center in Kharkiv (100% Oleksandr Yaroslavskyy`s investment)
  • Reconstruction of FC Metalist training ground, a training camp for one of the teams participating in Euro 2012 (100% Oleksandr Yaroslavskyy`s investment)
  • Construction of the 5* hotel Kharkiv Palace in Svobody Square, which at the time of Euro 2012 will accommodate UEFA headquarters located in Kharkiv (100% Oleksandr Yaroslavskyy`s investment)

Oleksandr Yaroslavskyy is out of politics since 2006 (in 2002 through 2006 - The People's Deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine of IV convocation). Has a number of national awards and awards of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church. A well-known philanthropist, finances charitable projects.
He is married, has four children. Prefers the healthy and sporty life style, keen of yoga, goes into tennis, diving, running, skiing.
