Kharkiv Mayor Mykhailo Dobkin met with Germany Consul General in Donetsk Klaus Zillikens. The consul said that he is working with all the East of Ukraine - not only with the Donetsk region.
In an interview with the consul Dobkin said that two days ago, Kharkiv withstood another test to be called a European city, and also thanked the humanitarian mission in Germany and in East Ukraine, for everything that their participants do to Kharkiv.
Consul agreed that the elections were held democratically and transparently. In addition, he shared his impressions from his visit to the Metalist stadium and to constructed airport terminal.
"The stadium is perfect. It obviously will be able to host Euro 2012 championships. There are a lot of crazy football fans among the Germans", - said K. Zillikens, noting that with this Championship Kharkiv will get closer to Germany and to all Europe.
With regard to the terminal, the consul said that the airport is a business card of any European city.
"You will not only have an excellent airport for Euro 2012, but also a good credit to the city", - said K. Zillikens.
He also shared his plans for the consulate in Donetsk - to open visa office, which will give residents of Eastern Ukraine 40 thousand visas, which will speed up the process of obtaining travel documents for Germany for many of them.
